![]() ![]() All sedans came standard with the vinyl roof and landau bars, resulting in the model’s official name of “Landau Sedan”. The Thunderbird’s traditional convertible model was concurrently dropped with the introduction of the sedan. In a further nod to Ford’s upmarket ambitions, rear hinged “suicide doors,” similar to those on the Lincoln Continental, prominently featured. The most radical change for 1967 however, was that for the first time, the Thunderbird was available as a four-door sedan. These included hidden headlights, curved lines, convex body sides, a “formal” roof line with landau roof, tufted seats, and vast amounts of interior wood grain trim. Switching to body-on-frame construction, it was larger, more comfortable, and more luxurious than prior versions.įrom a styling standpoint, these ’67s introduced many features that would become increasingly popular during both the “Great Brougham Epoch” and the late ’60s/early ’70s in general. Restyled with even more formal looks, the ’67 T-Bird could have easily been sold as a Lincoln. From the grille, I instantly recognized this formal-looking T-Bird as a 1967, the first year of both the model’s fifth generation and the sedan body style.įord had been gradually moving the Thunderbird upmarket since its 1955 introduction, and the 1967 continued the trend. ![]() In fact, I’ve seen this exact car several times in my neck of the woods, most recently last August at a nearby mechanic’s garage. The demonic legions of the Destroyer were the main foes in the first game but Death must face a new and enigmatic force known as Corruption in Darksiders 2. The appearance of key characters to compliment this expanded lore really makes the Darksiders universe come across as much bigger and more impressive than the first game. Other races beyond the scope of angels and demons are encountered and places like the Forge Lands feel alive and vibrant thanks to the level of effort and detail that has been invested into them. Its a story that actually runs parallel to the events of the first game, and as such is not a true story sequel to the conclusion of Darksiders but rather a related adventure in the same universe.ĭarksiders 2 greatly expands on the already impressive lore of the first game by bringing players away from the ruins of Earth to explore other realms and worlds that add a great amount of fantasy settings to this universe. However he does not know how to do this and so sets out on a journey of impressive scale and scope. Death, knowing that his brother is honourable and innocent of the charges levelled against him resolves to free his brother by undoing the crime itself and restoring the entire race of humanity from the grave. The game story begins at the same point as the original game, with the destruction of mankind in a premature Armageddon and War taking the blame. Your not on Earth anymore, and the adventure is all the better for itĭarksiders 2 leaves War behind and places players into the role of another one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Death. Luckily Darksiders 2 is one of the most refreshing titles I have played this year so far for numerous reasons, and is a game that deserves a lot of attention despite the problems its publisher and developer are experiencing because of its status as a breath of fresh air at a time when many games feel like they are stagnant. Vigil are still a fledgling developer and with the troubles of THQ in the backdrop I was concerned yet anticipating how the changes that were being made to the game would turn out. After playing the original Darksiders to completion in preparation for the sequel I was very interested in how Darksiders 2 would turn out. ![]() ![]() But, the dizzying way the extended video "erotic" scenes are added to what was probably a late night pay-cable release are very annoying and easy to fast-forward through without the sustained quality of, say, Rod Steele. Okay, having found out that this WAS a soft core movie, I didn't necessarily turn it off and demand my money back. In this movies seeing the "actors" rehearsing highlights the lack of preparation that went into acting out the real characters in the movie. I was looking for more "cheese" and less "cheesecake." First of all, I think movies shouldn't be allowed to start with "actors" rehearsing for a part at a talent agency (or wherever "actors" rehearse). The reason why I didn't expect this movie, was because the box was missing the "Must be 18 to Rent" Sticker. It had a good script, a sincere leading man, and a sense of purpose. I rented this type of "soft core" before, but I can honestly say, I wasn't expecting this to be in the same type as "Rod Steele: You Only Live Until You Die"-which was both sexy AND funny. I pray for someone who worked on this panty waste of a flick to respond. Why did they even bother to give the film a NC-17 rating, were they hoping to get as large of an audience as possible? At least if it were rated X it would be more sexual and therefore taking the viewers focus away from the overall low quality. Why was a joke such as this put in the film? Was the director thinking "I need a humorous scene to balance out the great acting so I will use some lame ass joke I read on a Laffy Taffy wrapper." Another retarded part is when Norman spills the invisibility potion on himself as he attempts to keep it from spilling. My personal favorite part of the movie is the duck asking the bartender if he has any grapes. The acting, camera-work, plot, script, and sound are all awful. It is neither a porno nor a legitimate film and it gives them both a bad name. This takes my worst movie award away from Komodo, which is no easy feat. There's better, though.Īfter just viewing the movie, I must say this is one of the worst films I have ever seen. If you want to see the last vestiges of the softcore era before The Asylum took over with American raunch, this isn't bad. The acting isn't great, with people in England and Italy speaking stereotypical accented English. Obviously, you won't be disappointed with the women. The Invisible Men do things that Claude Rains wasn't allowed to do back in 1933, of course. The other ladies, like Kim Dawson, came to showcase their assets in grand style. It's to see a very healthy and fit Gabby Hall naked and she is in top form and health here. The movie features lame special effects but they do the trick but I doubt anybody watches this film to see those. Unbeknownst to them, an agent named Robert Bull (who also got into the butterscotch and is invisible as well) attempts to sabotage her career for being dumped by her as her representative. They go across the ocean to England to help perform an exorcism and then to Italy where Kelli has a film opportunity. She hangs out with a fired caterer named Norman Parent, who somehow got turned invisible by spilling a butterscotch smelling formula in a sophomoric scene that ranks among the worst ever in 100+ years of film. In one of her final performances, Gabriella Hall plays Kelli Parkinson, a struggling actress trying to get a job. It wasn't until yesterday that I saw Invisible Man and for what it's worth, it's actually decent. didn't decide to go PC or not even bother promoting what their channel was created for, respectively, I would have seen this one sooner. ![]() ![]() Gato Roboto ( – Day One with Xbox Game Pass) ![]() Will you save mankind or be forgotten in the dark abyss of Space? Luckily, that’s literally our jobs here – making sure you have the right app and a mountain of games. It was a pleasure.I don’t know about you, but I’ve been getting some extra game time in recently and could use something new to spice up my gaming queue (because you can’t just play in order that you saw the games, that’d be silly). It’s a game that proves entirely captivating for the duration of its handful of hours and rewards intelligent, considered play by making you feel rather clever as you bear witness to the extraordinary day in the life of one ordinary robot. Machinarium’s visual charm has not been diminished by its three-year journey from PC to PS3. The game’s non-widescreen aspect ratio looks less stylised and more pronounced on a TV, and for the awards that Machinarium has garnered for its visual style, it’s a real shame that Amanita didn’t add an in-game art gallery or the series of concept art that was included in the PC Collector’s Edition to help further illustrate how it made a metallic world feel alive. Unsurprisingly, this stems largely from the controls, which while adequate cannot hope to match the ease of use and precision of a mouse (although when you stumble into an old video game arcade, you’ll be glad of the PS3 controller’s left stick). Amanita Design has done a sterling job of adapting the PC-centric Machinarium for PS3, but the claim on its PS Store page that it’s the best ever version of Machinarium is misplaced. ![]() Everything in Machinarium does make sense and your brain will fathom it eventually, it just needs time to remember how to digest the intellectual meal that sits before it. A friendly word of warning, though: refrain from reaching for that guide book too soon. The walkthrough is held under lock and key that requires completion of an arcade mini-game to gain access to, while its step-by-step solutions mean you need peek only at the next step to get Bob moving again. These hints can sometimes be too vague or refer to a goal too obvious to be entirely helpful but there’s also a full walkthrough included for when you’re entirely flummoxed. When you are stumped for how to progress, a hint system can be called upon to have Bob reveal a single, succinct thought-bubble visualisation of what his next goal in that area should be. The narrative puzzles provide moments of levity and visual entertainment but it’s the logic puzzles that really tax the grey matter and here that the ability to hold any of the shoulder buttons to zoom in on finer details is at its most useful. It’s further aided by a streamlined inventory: Bob never carries more than he needs and he never needs more than a handful of items. Machinarium’s world is crafted such that Bob only ever has four or five single-screen locations to navigate and solve puzzles in at any one time, which makes it comfortable to manage the situational puzzles that require a chain of progressive actions to be completed. Leave Bob alone for long enough and his idling animations will often raise a smile, while the thought-bubble memories depicting the simple pleasure of time spent with his absent female companion are beguiling and endearing. The method of environment interaction further focuses you on the intelligent level design and gorgeous hand-drawn visuals (which earned the Excellence in Visual Art award at the Independent Game Festival), while canny audio production mixes a superb ambient soundtrack with subtle game play cues. Amanita’s answer draws you further into its world as you observe the scene laid out before you, rather than mindlessly looking without seeing. ![]() Where the catch-all method of cursor-casting is intended to reduce frustration, it only ever succeeds in promoting boredom and breaking immersion. More proactive than that, though, it promotes a considered examination of Amanita Design’s game world as you pore over its hand-drawn vistas and then move to a point of interest to deliver that genre defining click. Primarily, it eliminates the sad and tiresome act of flailing the cursor this way and that across the screen, waiting for it to transform into that telltale hand of interactivity. Crucially, only items within Bob’s modest reach will reveal themselves to be interactive and it’s this one, small game play consideration that does so much to shape Machinarium’s identity. Bob’s primary method of righting the wrongs of his world is to stand near items of interest, screen furniture and fellow robots and prod at them inquisitively. ![]() ![]() Note-taking apps also offer a paperless way to keep track of ideas, which is great for the environment. The opposite sides of the two accounts are always balanced. Only positive amounts are posted – either left (debit) or right (credit). However, the concept of debit and credit also means that there are (in principle) no negative values in double-entry bookkeeping – unlike on the account statement of your bank account, for example.
